Good design starts with an understanding of color profiles, gamuts,
independent color spaces and their relationship to CIE_lab
values. Design Ahead implies that the original concept
is thought out with the purpose of intent, or how
the design will be used...print, web or both.
This atom represents several aspects of color theory, note the RGB
electrons orbiting a CMYK nucleus. The electrons represent
independent color spaces of input devices and monitors.
The nucleus represents the independent color spaces
of proofing and printing devices. That RBG and
CMYK exist in the same atom represents
the color profile conversion< of RGB
to CMYK and CMYK to RGB. The
color gamut of RGB and CMYK
can also be represented in
the atom, with RGB
having a wider gamut
than the CMYK
nucleus.
