The faded wedding photo
was on display for years,
exposed to the harmful
rays of light. The darker
edges of the wedding
photo were hidden from
the light, retaining much
of the original color. That
little bit of color proved
very helpful in determining
the proper colors for the
restoration.

Converting a black & white
photo to full color involves
a lot of time and patience.
Not only was there
retouching, but determining
the color palette
of the early 1900s took
a fair amount of research.
The cost to colorize a
similar image would run
in the hundreds of dollars!
